Common Problems We Fix
On Miele dishwashers, the two calls we run most are the F11 drain fault, usually a clogged filter or a tired drain pump, and the F70 water-level fault, which almost always means a small leak has tripped the Waterproof safety system and the base needs to be found dry before the machine will reset. We also replace door seals, heater pumps, and salt and rinse-aid dispensers. On the oven side, a failed temperature sensor or a touch-control fault is common, and on induction cooktops a failed cooling fan or a cracked control leads the list. On refrigeration, evaporator fans and control boards are the usual culprits. Repair timing depends on diagnosis and parts availability.

How We Diagnose a Miele
Miele's F-codes are among the more trustworthy in the industry, but they still name a function rather than a part. F11 on a dishwasher reports that the machine is not draining, and that is a description of what the control observed, not a diagnosis. The drain pump, the filter, the sump, the hose, and the air gap all produce F11. We work that path in order, cheapest and most likely first, because a Miele drain pump is a real part and replacing one to fix a filter full of debris is a poor result for everybody.
F70 on a dishwasher concerns the water level and float system, which is Miele's leak protection speaking. Like any protective circuit, it can trip because of an actual leak or because the sensing itself has failed, and telling those apart is the work. The tolerances on this brand also reward a a part selected for the approved scope in a way that is not marketing talk: a seal or a pump housing that is a fraction out of spec will fit and then leak, so we source by model and serial rather than by close-enough equivalence.
Repair or Replace a Miele
Miele is built for a long service life and is worth repairing accordingly.
