Cooking Surfaces
On a gas range, a Star burner that clicks but will not light is nearly always a cleaning issue. Let it cool, lift the cap, and clear the port area and igniter of any dried spill, then dry and reseat the cap. On the Freedom Induction top, two things stop a zone from heating: the wrong cookware and restricted airflow. Test a pan with a magnet, and make sure nothing under the cooktop blocks the cooling vents. If the whole top powers off during use, that is the self-protection response to heat, and it usually means the cooling fan or power board needs attention.
Oven and Dishwasher
For an oven that will not hold temperature, confirm the door seals and try one power reset at the breaker. For a dishwasher that will not drain, the filter is the first suspect: pull it, rinse it, clear the sump, and check the drain hose for kinks. Do not open the induction power module, work on gas connections, or dismantle the dishwasher pump housing. If you smell gas, shut off the supply and ventilate. Cleaning filters and reseating caps is the safe limit; anything electrical or gas-related belongs with a brand-focused technician.
