Cooktop and Oven
For a surface burner that will not light, let it cool and clean the open-burner ports and cap, which collect spills quickly on Viking's design. Dry and reseat the cap. If the oven will not ignite, first confirm the range has gas and is not sitting in a delay-start or lock mode. A gas oven that clicks or glows but never lights usually has a weakened igniter that no longer draws enough current to open the safety valve, and that is a technician's part to replace. For uneven baking, check that the door gasket seals and the racks are positioned correctly before assuming a component has failed.
Refrigeration
If a Viking refrigerator runs a little warm, treat it like any built-in: verify the condenser is clean, the door seals fully, and the interior vents are not blocked by tall containers. Our dry air loads condensers fast, so cleaning it is the first and most rewarding step. Give the unit several hours to recover before judging it.

Where to Stop
Do not attempt to replace a gas igniter or safety valve, adjust the gas supply, or open the refrigeration sealed system yourself. If you smell gas, shut off the supply and ventilate. Cleaning and reseating are the safe limit here.
